Changes to IRS Service Center Filing Locations
Some taxpayers will begin sending their returns to a different address next filing season
For the 2001 filing season, individual taxpayers in 12 states and business taxpayers
in 16 states will file their returns at a different service center.
IRS has a chart of Service Center filing locations by
state for the 2001 & 2002 filing season,

NOTE
This chart is for a 2 year transition during the 2001/2002 filing seasons.
The new filing locations are listed state by state for IMF and BMF taxpayers.
IMF Forms: 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, extensions 4868/2688
BMF Forms: 706, 709, 940/940EZ, 941/943/945, 1041, 1065, 1120, 7004
NEW Zip Codes
IRS is now using many new zip codes for the different types of returns. The zip codes are also different for returns with payments and returns with refunds.

Three
lists of the zip codes has been posted online at the following sites.
